This week Mrs. Moore's second grade class had a very special guest, Meri Ripley. Mrs. Ripley is a volunteer and an advocate for a non-profit organization called Sole Hope. Mrs. Ripley shared about her trip to Uganda, Africa. We learned where Uganda is on the map, learned about their school and home life, and games children play over there. We also talked about jiggers and how it hurts the people of Uganda. Out of compassion and kindness we made care kits that will be sent to Uganda to help the people heal from jiggers.
